The Center for Integrated Cellular Analysis invites undergraduate students interested in biology, computational biology, and genomics to participate in our 2024 Undergraduate Summer Research Program. Our center develops DNA sequencing technologies to analyze single cells, a field known as single cell genomics, and applies them to better understand development, cancer, and neurodegenerative disease. Our laboratories are located in 6 institutions across NYC: Columbia University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York Genome Center, New York University, Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell School of Medicine. Our summer program offers the opportunity to perform research and receive training in bioinformatics and statistics, computational biology and single-cell genomics.
Program dates: June 10 - August 2, 2024
Program highlights
Spend 8-weeks working in cutting-edge laboratories and get an insider’s look into academic life.
In general this is an in-person, 40 hours/week [M-F, 9-5] commitment.
Work closely with a graduate student or postdoc to develop and conduct a research project.
Participate in weekly meetings with faculty.
Attend lab meetings and journal clubs.
Meet with external faculty members for career counseling and mentoring.
Present the results of your research project.
Interact with scientists at different stages in their careers and with different scientific backgrounds.
Interns will earn a $8,000 stipend for their participation in the program.
